A Required Introduction

Let’s start with a name,

It’s Madison.

I am a new creator; young and wanting to understand the world of an author. Better to start now than never!

I am a young adult writer who is inspired by history. Starting September I’ll be studying history at the university of Wilfred Laurier.

This blog will be my time to let go, write, and inspire. I wish to practice my writing skills so feedback is greatly appreciated! If you want a story written feel free to ask.

Tower of Healers

Hello! Quick update today… This next piece is an excerpt from a book I’ve been writing. It won’t make much sense because its in the middle of a paragraph. But please GIVE ME ADVICE AND COMMENTS. I need to improve if I ever become a professional and published writer. So tell me what you think.

After spending most of her life here at the Oxneau Tower, Ellanis knew many of the spells and healing ingredients used to heal the sick. Ellanis has lived her life here for 10 years now, since she was twelve and has passed her final exam to become an official healer. Ellanis took every opportunity to work with the Divine Healer, the leader and overseer of the Oxneau Tower.

The Betrayer

I now understand that I am what some people call a “betrayer”. I have taken life from my own kind. This war has taken everything from me and it was my duty to protect the kingdom at all costs, but when your own people turn against you, you start to defend yourself.

Although I am not young I am still learning.

I was never great with people, I preferred books and music compared to feasts and social nights.

But throughout my life I have learned one thing. People do not care about anyone but themselves.

So, as I sit here on an empty throne, I do not regret the things I’ve done. You may call me a killer, a betrayer, whatever you’d like. But you cannot say I didn’t think of myself.

I was only doing what everyone else does.
